Tarot: Meaning, Symbols, and Throws

This intermediate class is an answer to your request to learn more about these interesting cards. We will explore multiple decks and their meanings, the various symbols that appear in the cards and how they have been interpreted through time. In addition, we will experiment with various throws, or placements for answers, fun and play. Be prepared to use your deck to discover how to answer specific questions, how to interpret positions and symbols, and how to “play” with the cards that have been a part of the world's development. You must have a basic knowledge of tarot and their meaning (such as Introduction to Tarot). Please bring your deck to class.

Prophecies and 2012:
Ending or New Beginning for Planet Earth?

There’s been a lot of talk about the year 2012. Come and hear Sue Yarmey’s talk on the various prophecies and her interpretation of where the planet, and the people who populate it, are heading. From the doomsday interpretation that marks the end of the world, to the new age interpretation that marks the beginning of the Golden Years, Sue will discuss the many prophecies, their general interpretations, and a few newer possible scenarios. Through a brief meditation, you will be transported to the “future” so you can discover your own interpretation. Come prepared to ask your questions about this changing time.

Chakras – Sacred Centers, Energy Portals

Chakras are the energy points in the human body. As the energy has been changing with the countdown to 2012, this class will help you better understand the template of your physical form and how it came about. In addition, you will be able to see, hear, and feel these energy points and learn what parts of the body they “govern”. We will experiment with how to change the energy, what happens when the energy changes, and how to better pay attention to outside influences. Using meditation, various sounds/music and experiential exercises, you will be able to gain hands on knowledge of your personal energy points. Each individual chakra will be discussed through color, light, sound and feeling. You will be able to connect to the energy, the centers, and explore the portals of dimensional shifts. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared for meditation.
